The Berkeley Underground Film Society (BUFS) is an all ages club for collectors, researchers, and film enthusiasts in the East Bay and San Francisco area.

The Gold Rush (1925) Super 8/ Music | Underground Film Night: Obscure Super 8 & 16mm Movies | Berkeley

A lone prospector ventures into Alaska looking for gold. He gets mixed up with some burly characters and falls in love with the beautiful Georgia. He tries to win her heart with his singular charm.

Charlie Chaplin declared several times that this was the film that he most wanted to be remembered for. In 1992, The Gold Rush was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.”
