Join Mayor Jean Quan on Friday, April 5, 2013 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm for the Grand Opening of the Uptown ArtPark, Oakland’s First Outdoor Sculpture Park.

Come out to 19th and Telegraph and see the nine sculptural art pieces created by local artists, while enjoying art, music, tours and food trucks.

One of the standout pieces is The Bike Bridge, a sculpture made from bicycle parts and other reclaimed materials created by Blakc Rock Arts/ Burning Man artist Michael Christian

About Uptown ArtPark – the city’s first outdoor sculpture park has transformed a vacant space that was formerly a Sears parking lot into a showplace for large-scale local art for the entire community to enjoy. The Uptown ArtPark is located on Telegraph Avenue and 19th Street, across from the renovated Fox Oakland Theater.
