Vast and Undetectable: Science and Art Converge | SF

Join the SFAC Gallery in partnership with Science@Cal for a free afternoon of scientific discovery, conversation and activities in conjunction with the current exhibition, Vast and Undetectable.  

Physics, microbial biology and astronomy professors from UC Berkeley will be on hand to make short presentations about their scientific work and how it converges with the artwork in the exhibition.

After the presentations, many of the artists from Vast and Undetectable as well as our esteemed guest scientists will be open to questions and conversations about science and art.

There will also be activity stations set up for children of all ages to create their own works of art based on scientific discoveries. Learn to make mandalas, explore the world through microscopes, draw your own version of galaxies the Hubble Telescope has yet to discover and much more. There will be snacks and drinks provided by the SFAC Gallery.
