2023 San Francisco SPCA Holiday Windows at Macy’s Union Square

November 17–December 31
Thursday–Sunday, noon–5pm*

It’s that time of the year again—when the puppies and kittens take over the windows of Union Square! This beloved San Francisco holiday tradition is back again bringing smiles and stealing hearts this season. Our adoptable puppies and kittens are ready to find their forever homes as they romp and play in the windows. Keep an eye out for our animal-assisted therapy ambassadors who will be making surprise visits to snuggle.

Macy’s in Union Square unveils their Annual “Holiday Windows” with elaborately decorated holiday window displays all along the outside of the building, featuring some adorable (and adoptable) cats and dogs to help benefit the SPCA and San Francisco Animal Care & Control to find these furry friends a new home.

Volunteer with the SPCA to help spread the holiday cheer at Macy’s Holiday Windows by greeting the public, collecting donations, and directing visitors to the SF SPCA pop-up adoption center inside Macy’s.

Sign up online to volunteer at Holiday Windows. Please note that many shifts are already filled.

In 2016, Windows Volunteers helped send close to 300 animals to their forever homes and raised over 90,000 in life-saving dollars.  In the spirit of the season, join them this year to reach even higher.
