Don’t miss this exciting sneak preview of the Wooden Fish Ensemble’s upcoming performance season. Acclaimed musicians Shoko Hikage (bass koto) and Hyunjung Choi (violin) will play composer Hyo-shin Na’s Koto, Violin (2016). The musicians will also rehearse Na’s most recent work Cloud Study II (2017), for violin and bass koto, under the direction of the composer. This is an excellent chance to experience how a newly composed work of music comes to life!

Shoko Hikage and Hyunjung Choi are members of the San Francisco based Wooden Fish Ensemble. Hyo-shin Na writes for both western and Asian instruments and has worked with numerous ensembles such as the Kronos Quartet, the San Francisco Contemporary Music Players, the Contemporary Music Ensemble Korea, the San Jose Chamber Orchestra, Earplay, and the Barton Workshop.

All programs at the Library are free and open to the public.
