Event Details

The average four-year cost for an in-state university is about $95,000 and $180,000 for a private college. With high and ever-increasing college costs and average graduation rates of more than five years per child, parents – irrespective of their income – desperately need strategies and solutions to help them save on and not just for the cost of college.

In this workshop, designed for parents of college-bound children, they will discuss some strategies for reducing the out of pocket cost of college.

The presentation will cover:

  • The current college costs
  • The college funding versus retirement savings dilemma.
  • Fundamentals of college planning and funding.
  • Some practical strategies to increase financial aid eligibility, asset strategy, income planning strategies, college savings and funding strategies, and loan strategies.

This workshop is presented by Michael Kayhan. He is graduate of Stanford University, has taught part time at the business school of local universities for more than 17 years, and is a registered investment advisor.
