In the first hour you will be introduced to resources that will help you become a more informed and empowered job seeker. In this overview you will learn about:

  2. Classes & e-Learning
  3. Local community job centers
  4. Free & low cost career counseling
  5. Information for teens, veterans, LGBTQQ & older worker job seekers
  6. Resume tools
  7. Job fairs & job clubs
  8. Internships & job training
  9. Green jobs
  10. Tools for researching companies
  11. Current salary & job market information
  12. Building lists of potential employers & much more…

This knowledge will empower & prepare you to perform a purposeful job search. The tools offered in this class are free or low cost and available to all. Some resources may require a SFPL library card & pin number.

In the 2nd hour you will learn about programs/services offered by Bay Area Video Coalition/TechSF who will also offer a brief ‘skill-share’ session that you may add to your growing job search tool kit on: What employers are looking for in candidates.
