Event Details

Even parking tickets get a day off now and then… sort of. Parking Enforcement follows the City and County of San Francisco Holiday Calendar.

The basics, is that on Monday, July 5, 2021 (Independence Day Observed) parking meters, white zones and nightly street sweeping are still enforced, but neighborhood parking permits, daytime street sweeping and unmetered yellow/green zones are not enforced.

Upcoming Holiday Street Parking Enforcement Changes

Independence Day (Observed) – Monday, July 5, 2021

Parking meters (all meters including color capped), white zones, nightly street sweeping (street cleaning) and safety violations (no stopping, no parking, red and blue zones) will be enforced.

Other SFMTA parking programs will not be enforced:

  • Residential Parking Permits (RPP) Zones
  • General Parking Time Limits
  • Weekday Daytime Street Sweeping (Street Cleaning)
  • Commuter Shuttle Towaway Zones
  • Unmetered Yellow and Green Zones

In the Mission Bay and China Basin areas, SFMTA parking rates change for special events and gamedays at Oracle Park and Chase Center.
