San Francisco has a brand new music festival. Portola will be taking over Pier 80 for the two-day festival on September 24-25, 2022.

Flume headlines on Saturday with The Chemical Brothers headlining Sunday. Additional performers include Fatboy Slim, M.I.A., Jungle, Toro y Moi, James Blake, Kaytranada, Jamie XX, Charli XCX, Four Tet + Floating Points, and many more.

Update – M.I.A. has unfortunately canceled, with a replacement announcement supposedly coming soon.

The festival’s name ‘Portola’ pays homage to the Portola Festival of 1909, which was a grand celebration to welcome San Francisco back after the great San Francisco earthquake of 1906, which signaled The City was back open again and ready for visitors. This festival aims to honor its namesake heritage and signals once again SF is back.

Presale starts Fri, May 20th @ 10:00am PDT. Single Day tickets start at $199 (+ fees) and 2 Day Passes start at $299 (+ fees), if you snag the early bird prices.

Pier 80, a 60-acre site located at 401 Cesar Chavez, is San Francisco’s largest cargo terminal and the City’s only pier that can support the direct unloading of materials from ships to railroad cars.
