Event Details

Join the South San Francisco Public Library for a talk with author James Nestor. James’s latest book, Deep, explores the deep sea and finds bizarre creatures that are more similar to us than we could have imagined. From sharks that can swim in perfectly straight lines in total darkness, to seals who can dive to depths of almost half a mile and stay there for more than an hour, these animals can teach us what our own bodies are capable of.
