FivePlay Jazz Quintet Concert

Spend a lively afternoon in Pioneer Park with the FivePlay Jazz Quintet! Enjoy an outdoor performance featuring original music and creative improvisation in a relaxed, welcoming setting. Bring a blanket or chair, grab a spot on the grass, and soak up the sound.

Please bring your own chairs and blankets.

FivePlay performs all original music, ranging from driving modal jazz to Brazilian and Latin grooves to atmospheric misterioso. The group has released four CDs, all of which have received national and international promotion and airplay. They have appeared at numerous Northern California venues, including Yoshi’s Oakland, the JazzSchool, Bird and Beckett, Piedmont Piano, Rossmoor, the San Ramon Jazz Series, Vallejo Jazz, Calliope, and the Red Poppy Art House. FivePlay was also featured on KCSM’s In The Moment and broadcast live on KPFA-FM. They can be found online on Facebook and YouTube.
