Third Thursdays Outdoor Movie Nights
Every 3rd Thursday | 7 to 10:30 pm
Forage Kitchen, 478 25th St., Oakland
FREE with RSVP ($6 at the door)

Come to an outdoor movie night, every third Thursday, in partnership with KONO, the folks who bring you First Friday.

Make sure to get there early as spots will fill. Plus, dress warm and bring blankets and chairs. Drinks make you warm, but the the ground is still cold.

This month they’re showing A League of Their Own shot in 1992.

Based on a true story, this film takes place during the mid ’40s when men hadn’t yet returned from war, and the sports entertainment industry attempted to fill a gap and raise morale by creating America’s first Women’s baseball league. It didn’t exactly go smoothly, but through the uphill battle emerges camaraderie and strong female characters.
This movie’s all-star cast includes Madonna, Tom Hanks, Geena Davis,  Rosie O’Donnell, and was directed by female Director Penny Marshall.

Get there on the earlier side so you can grab some drinks from the bar and try some delicious Venezuelan Comfort food.
