Baruch Porras Hernandez’s solo show Love in the Time of Piñatas won Best Solo Comedy at the New York City Fringe Festival in 2025, but his most impressive accomplishment is having had a donut named after him at Dynamo Donuts in San Francisco.

He’s opened for Solomon Giorgio and Adore Delano, and he’s the creator and host of the Latinx comedy showcase Donde Esta Mi Comedy?, which has been part of SF Sketchfest six years in a row! He’s hosted and performed at Cobb’s Comedy Club, featured at The Stand Up Comedy Club in SoCal, and performed at the Alameda Comedy Club.

Baruch has been featured at SafeWords Queer Comedy Showcase, Santa Cruz Comedy Festival, Guerneville Pride, Comedy at the R3, Club Fugazi, Oakland Comedy Festival, and countless other shows across the Bay Area — including the legendary Ruckus and Rumpus Review!, About Last Night, ManHaters Comedy, SubMission Comedy, Nightlife on Mars, It’s Qwere Comedy, DNA’s Comedy Lab, Comedy Oakland, Whose Your Mami Comedy?, Legs for Days, Comedy at El Rio, JOSH in LA, and Giant Robot Comedy in LA. He’s also appeared in Marga Gomez’s SF comedy shows NYE Comedy Fiesta at Brava Theatre and Marga’s Comedy Bodega at Esta Noche.

He was born in Mexico, lives in San Francisco — and has probably made out with your dad.

As always, Castro Comedy Cabaret delivers a curated lineup of queer-forward comics in one of the Castro’s most electric venues. Come early, grab a cocktail, and get comfy — you’re in for a good one.

Doors open at 6 PM — come early to snag a table, sip a cocktail, and catch a screening of comical pre-show videos created by Wonder Dave.
