SailGP Grand Final “United States Sail Grand Prix” (March 26-27)

Racing for the highly coveted $1 million top prize, the MUBADALA UNITED STATES SAIL GRAND PRIX in SAN FRANCISCO will take place March 26-27. Eight teams have battled it out over seven events throughout the season and now the end of the championship arrives in San Francisco. The weekend promises to deliver spectacular racing action, with teams from the United States, Australia, Denmark, France, Great Britain, Japan, New Zealand, and Spain – featuring the sport’s best athletes – racing at highway speeds on the spectator-friendly racecourse on San Francisco Bay.
- Race Times: 2p-3:30p
- Race Village: Noon to 6p (it’s unclear if you need a ticket for the race village, or if it’s open to the public
- Seats in the premium section in the race village start $47, but you can watch the races for free from many vantage points along the northern waterfront including Crissy Field, Marina Green, Fort Mason and Aquatic Park
San Francisco sports legend Jimmy Spithill and his United States SailGP Team have already qualified for Sunday’s season-deciding Grand Final alongside Tom Slingsby’s Australia team. The rest of the weekend’s racing will determine the third and final team joining them in the winner-take-all final race for US $1 million and the SailGP Championship Trophy.
