Think ‘the Jane Goodall of giraffes’ and you’d get Canadian zoologist and feminist trailblazer Dr. Anne Innis Dagg, whose unprecedented work and scholarship on South African wildlife was stonewalled by institutional chauvinism. Dagg’s groundbreaking work as a female scientific explorer in the 1950s went unrecognized for decades. This film highlights both her pioneering research on South African Giraffes and her tireless fight for gender equity. Today, the value of her work is finally being recognized.
