2020 Update: The event will not take place this year.

The Rotary Club of San Jose and the City of San Jose having concern for the health and safety of our community, with the social distancing, limitations on crowd sizes, and other safety restrictions the Rotary Club of San Jose has decided to cancel this year’s 4th of July Fireworks show in Discovery Meadow.

Celebrating their 105th year and a new century of service, the Rotary Club of San Jose invites you, your family, and your friends to enjoy another world-class fireworks display at Discovery Meadow in downtown San Jose on July 4, 2019.

4th of July Fireworks Celebration
Thursday, July 4, 2019 | 5 pm (Fireworks Approx. 9:30 pm)
Discovery Meadow, 180 Woz Way, San Jose
FREE to watch

The fireworks will light up the sky at approximately 9:30 pm. This is a free, family-friendly event, and seating is on a first-come basis. Restrooms and a great view will be provided on site.

• 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm – TBD
• 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm – TBD
• 8:00 pm – 9:15 pm – TBD
• 9:15 pm – 9:45 pm – TBD
• 9:45 pm – 10:00 pm – San Jose Rotary Announcements
• 10:01 pm -10:30 pm – Fireworks Show Begins

Please note, as of July 3, 2019, the complete event schedule for 2019 is not yet available. Please check their website for updates.

They anticipate large crowds; therefore, we strongly encourage you to ride public transit. Consider VTA Light Rail or bus service, or ride your bikes with night safety gear ready, or if you must drive, please carpool.
