CANCELED FOR 2019: Travis Air Force Base | Drone “Fireworks” Light Show

Travis Air Force Base is partnering with Intel to feature The Shooting Star Drones. Please note this event is weather dependent. Check Facebook for updates.

• The Forbes Gate will open to the public at 6:30 p.m. on July 4 with the show beginning at approx. 9 p.m.
• Beginning at 6:30 p.m., buses will be picking up Non-DoD ID Cardholders at the Forbes Gate and dropping them off at the staging area.

This event will include food vendors, snow cones, bouncy houses, a deejay and other family-friendly activities. The main event will begin at approximately 9 p.m. or shortly after sunset.

Where to Park

• Handicap Parking will be available in the Golden West Middle School Parking Lot
• General Public (i.e. “Non-DoD ID Cardholders” park at Vanden High School and need to walk to Forbes Gate for security screening before taking buses to viewing area
• Non-DoD ID Cardholders will pick up wristbands at the Forbes Gate Security Checkpoint
• Buses will shuttle Non-DoD ID Cardholders from the Forbes Gate to and from the event staging area

DoD ID Card Holders will park at the Base Exchange Parking Lot, and they will pick up their wristbands at the event entrance

*Event is limited to the first 2,500 Non-DoD ID Cardholders and the first 2,500 DoD ID Cardholders*
