Fisherman’s Wharf’s 2019 Clam Chowder Festival | SF
Get ready for Wharf Fest, San Francisco’s beloved waterfront festival with an open-air concert and the Chowder Competition, where you get to taste SF’s best chowders and help crown the winner.
This year’s Chowder Competition participants are: Alioto’s, Blue Mermaid Restaurant & Bar, Cioppino’s, Fisherman’s Grotto, Fog Harbor Fish House, Franciscan Crab Restaurant, McCormick & Kuleto’s Seafood & Steaks, Pescatore, and Pier Market Restaurant – you’ll get to taste them all.

Wharf Fest
Cheers & Chowder: At the most delicious part of the day, the Chowder Competition, Fisherman’s Wharf restaurants will compete for the title of the Best Chowder at Fisherman’s Wharf. New for this year, the Fisherman’s Wharf Community Benefit District has expanded Wharf Fest to include wine and beer tasting from noon to 3 p.m. to compliment the delicious chowders.
Benefit Concert: A brand-new component of Wharf Fest is live music from noon to 3:30 pm and a concert in support of the Fisherman’s Wharf Homeless Outreach Program, Wharf Cares, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Additionally, food and beverages from Wharf businesses can be purchased during the entire event from noon to 8:00 pm.
Schedule:
- Noon – 3 pm: Chowder Competition and Beer & Wine Tasting
- 3 pm – 4 pm: Awards and Intermission
- 4 pm – 8 pm: New for 2019 – Benefit Concert
Four bands, including: The Side Deal, featuring Grammy winning artist Charlie Colin of Train, Stan Frazier of chart-topping band Sugar Ray, and brothers Joel and Scott Owen of The PawnShop kings.
