The locally-run Dolores Park Movie Night (not to be confused with the much larger city-wide “Film Night in the Park” event) continues its 2010 season with free movies on the second Thursday of each month in Dolores Park with the oddball spooky comedy Beetlejuice with Michael Keaton and Geena Davis from 1988.
There’s no causes, no speeches. Just bring a friend, bring a dog, buy a couple of tamales and enjoy a neighborhood evening.
- Date: Thursday, June 10 2010 – 8pm
- Film: Beetlejuice (1988)
- Cost: Free, but your donations and sales of popcorn will help cover costs. Please consider making a donation.
About Dolores Park Movie Night: Please note that this is not part of the larger “Film Night in the Park” series. Dolores Park Movie Night is a much smaller local event put on by residents of the neighborhood around Dolores Park as is intended to be a community-building event for those who live in the immediate neighborhood.
Oh, and pick up your damn trash after the movie! Otherwise the organizers of this event have to pick up the trash after you. Is that any way to treat the people who are bringing this neighborhood a free movie night in the park?
Upcoming Dolores Movie Nights in the Park for 2010: Permits have been issued for May 13, June 10, July 8, August 12, September 9, October 14.
