2013 Earth Day: Work Party & BBQ | Presidio

It’s that time of the year to celebrate the Earth and all of its beauty while helping restore Presidio Natural Areas on April 13, 2013.

April 13, 2013 | 9am to 4pm

Free, but RSVP is required.

• Work Party (Field Program, Presidio Nursery, and Communty Gardens): 9 m—12pm
  Field Program will be heading to one of the many restoration projects in the Presidio to help with ongoing habitat restoration; those that choose to go to the nursery will be helping with transplanting, pot washing, and gardening, and the community gardens crew will be working in one the Presidio’s unique public gardens. All crews will meet at Presidio Natural Resources Building.
• BBQ: Noon — 2pm
  After all your hard work, please join the group for a BBQ. Grilled meat and veggie options will be provided (most likely free, but bring a few bucks just in case), as well as chips and beverages. Please bring a salad, side-dish, or dessert to share. Also, to limit waste for this event, please bring your own plates and cups.
• Restoration Olympics: Immediately following the BBQ, the 2013 Restoration Olympic Games will commence (we’re still finding out what this is, so stay tuned).
