Free Concerts at Optical Underground | SF
A free show in a glasses shop? It’s true. Optical Underground is an eyewear store with a double personality — it morphs into a downstairs venue with great acoustics featuring local bands.
Their monthly after hours underground sessions offer free shows with free drinks and snacks. These SF natives use every opportunity to jam in their underground space.
Often they will have a donation jar for a local non-profit, so bring some cash to chip in.
Leftover Cuties are an irresistible combination of sultry vocals, pop-perfect songwriting, and old-school musicianship.
From the opening theme of Showtime’s “The Big C” to the infectiously happy “Smile Big” that propelled the 2012 summer Olympics Samsung Galaxy S III commercial to the current worldwide Hyundai commercial that features the groups cover of “When You’re Smiling”, Leftover Cuties are a band you’ve heard, but may not know yet.
The free concert features complimentary snacks and beverages including Black Star beer from their sponsor.
For each check-in on Facebook that evening, they will donate $1 to their philanthropy partner Groundwork Opportunities.
