San Francisco’s Bayview Neighborhood comes alive for 3rd on Third, a community-wide arts celebration for the whole family happening from 5-8 pm every third Friday of the month, at Bayview Town Center (Mendell Plaza at 3rd Street & Oakdale Ave).
The monthly event features pop-up galleries, pop-up attractions, local food vendors, a beer and wine garden, a special children’s zone with free art-making activities, and a stage featuring talent from Bayview and beyond.
The Bayview Opera House is bringing Earth Day to Third Street with live performances by Hip Hop for Change, goats to play with from City Grazing, mural workshops with artist Cameron Moberg, plus gardening demos, jewelry-making workshops, Zumba lessons at 6 pm, a non-profit fair, vendor marketplace, trolley rides, $5 food specials, and more.
The “Kids Zone” will be full of activities on Mendell Plaza (at Third and Palou), with a Third St. stroll featuring activities, performances, food, and local merchants between McKinnon and Palou.
Free, but an RSVP is requested.
