Frankenart Mart | 515 Balboa Street, San Francisco, CA
The Frankenart Mart is a quirky shoebox-sized art gallery in the Inner Richmond. Not only do they have curious one-of-a-kind interactive art exhibits, but once a month there’s free hot dogs all day.
July 3, 2011 also happens to be the start of the 5th annual Hot Dog Drawing Contest. Come draw your best hot dog - The winning entry in this year’s hot dog drawing contest will have their work immortalized on a removable tattoo.
About Hot Dog Day: Every month, Frankenart Mart gives away free beef and veggie dogs to all visitors who want one. There’s a bit of a rivalry going on between the two – scorewise. Though veggie has come very close, beef has historically won out.
About Frankenart Mart: If you’ve never been to the Frankenart Mart, this is the perfect day to go. It’s the kind of business you’ll only find in San Francisco: A themed art gallery featuring quirky art from all over the Bay Area. July falls in the Space Station theme. It’s the only place to find Pegacorn (a bag of delicious wings and horns), cat-hair bracelets, and the first Sunday of the month, free hot dogs
