Marigold Project invites you to the 32nd annual Festival of Altars.
On November 2nd, Day of the Dead Festival of Altars will be held in Potrero Del Sol Park aka La Raza Park. Please come and participate in building an altar or come to view the community altars.
Plus, every November 2nd at 12pm and 5pm, you’re welcome to join the Ritual Circle. The Ritual Circle is a ceremony created to take time among the altars to honor all of our ancestors, our environment, and our connection to the earth and each other. All are invited to participate.
Together we hold space for healing and reflecting on our ancestral roots in a beautiful community of heart connection. This event is comprised of poetry performances, dance, music, and ritual ceremonies. Performers of all backgrounds and faiths come together to be inspired by Mesoamerican Day of the Dead traditions and to make this community event relevant to the San Francisco Bay Area as a whole.
