Event Details

Come join the San Francisco chapter of Citizen’s Climate Lobby (CCL) for a free film screening of “From The Ashes”: National Geographic’s latest film which goes beyond the rhetoric on “The War on Coal” to present compelling stories about what’s at stake for our economy, health, and climate.

The film explores the legacy of coal on towns across the country from Appalachia to Wyoming’s Powder River Basin to uncover how coal affects everyone from the miners who take it out of the ground to the children who suffer health risks from living near coal plants. Find out how the country is dealing with this controversial industry and why John Kerry called From The Ashes “Heartbreaking and enlightening… A must watch for everyone because we should all be in this together”
