The organizers say the event is Rain or Shine – but always best to check their site just in case.

As part of the Food Exhibition, there will be a Crop Swap, a Seed Swap, and guided tours of nearby community gardens, as well as “from garden to table” cooking demonstrations.

In addition, ribbons will be awarded to adults and youth who enter food contests to showcase everything from the largest tomato to the best pie, pickled vegetable or bread. The purpose of the Food Exhibition is to inspire more urban farming, more homemade food, and healthier eating.

Kids of all ages are bound to have a great time at the Recreation Division Kids Zone which includes carnival games with prizes, scarecrow making, pumpkin bowling, a rock climbing wall, face painting and much more.
