$1 Bottles of Wine Delivered to your Door

Brand new booze delivery start-up “Saucey” kicks off in SF

Thanks for Eater SF for tipping us off to the latest player on the local drink startup scene is debuting in SF: L.A.-based Saucey, which offers everything from Smirnoff to Blanton’s bourbon, delivered to your door (not to mention 18-racks of Bud Light).

The tradeoff, of course, is that things are a bit pricier than they would be at your local liquor store (think $9 for a bomber of Arrogant Bastard, $12 for a sixer of Coors Light, or $55 for a bottle of Veuve), but tax and tip are included in the fee. They offer pre-packaged cocktail kits for mixing up gimlets, Martinis, or Manhattans, not to mention cigarettes, mixers, and Solo cups.

The selection is more or less what you’d find at your local Safeway, but it could definitely come in handy at a party that’s running low on drinks.

To promote the new liquor delivery service, Saucey is giving away $1 bottles of wine early the week of September 29th. All you need to do is download the app and sign up; they’ll alert users when the wine promo runs. For any order, they promise delivery anywhere in SF within 20 to 40 minutes. (Promo code mk1qb4 will get you $5 off your first order.) Fair warning, Android users: it’s iOS only at the moment.
