SF Sketchfest 2011: Deals & Cheap Tickets

The Tenth Annual SF Sketchfest comedy festival takes place January 13-February 5th, 2011 and features dozens of comedy shows and events all over the city at venues ranging from Cobb’s Comedy Club, The Purple Onion, and even The Castro Theater.

2011 highlights include Will Forte, Bobcat Goldthwait, Maria Bamford, Neil Patrick Harris, Bob Odenkirk, Doug Benson, Jimmy Pardo, Ryan Stiles, Greg Proops, all-star tributes to Saturday Night Live (with Dan Aykroyd), tributes to Garry Shandling, “Murphy Brown” and tons more.  [Full 2011 Schedule]

Ticket prices for individual shows range from $15 to $40.

SF Sketchfest presents Saturday Night Live’s Paul Brittain and Jet Eveleth in Ted and Melanie, plus The Daily Show’s Lauren Weedman’s solo show No… You Shut Up. Ted and Melanie is a sketch show based on Brittain and Eveleth’s improvised show at the iO Theater in Chicago, while No… You Shut Up is anexcruciatingly funny true story of fractured families, families with dead mothers, two mothers, adopted mothers and foster kids.

SF Sketchfest presents Matt Braunger & Jamie Kilstein, two of the country’s hottest rising stand-up stars. Braunger has been seen on the Tonight Show and Letterman, and was a cast member on the last season of MADtv. Kilstein is known for his hard-hitting political comedy, and has toured with Eddie Izzard, Billy Connolly, Lewis Black and Louis CK.

SF Sketchfest presents rising comedy stars Jen Kirkman and Baron Vaughn. Kirkman’s hilariously neurotic true stories earned her a breakout job as a writer and cast member on E!’s Chelsea Lately. Vaughn has been on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham, and recently landed a regular role on the new USA series Fairly Legal.

Joe Sib’s California Calling and Rob Delaney’s Naked and Bloody

Nanjiani acted and wrote for Comedy Central’s Michael and Michael Have Issues, and has also appeared on The Colbert Report, The Late Show with David Letterman and NPR’s This American Life.
