Join Classical Revolution as the musicians celebrate the seventh anniversary of the chamber music party at MAPP (Mission Arts and Performance Project) which led to the formation of Classical Revolution.

2401 Collaborative Grand Opening Performance Schedule | June 1, 2013

• 6:30-6:55 pm: David Arend & Jacob Johnson, double basses (Deep Tones for Peace)
• 7:05-7:30 pm: Karla Avila & Elektra Schmidt (clarinet and piano fantasy pieces)
• 7:45-8:25 pm: O.T.C. Jazz Trio (eclectic Americana gypsy jazz)
• 8:35-8:55 pm: Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring (acoustic-electric chamber rock)
• 9-11 pm: Classical Revolution (Seven Years at MAPP chamber music party)

Visual Exhibition: “Monkey Business” Urban Screenprints & Bio-Kinetic Sculpture by Richard Nyhagen and Daniel Stingle

MAPP is a bimonthly arts walk which takes place in likely and unlikely places around the Inner Mission neighborhood, centered at the Red Poppy Art House.

The June 2013 theme for MAPP is “Gentrification & Displacement” focusing on the idea that diversity feeds creativity and is necessary for a healthy urban ecosystem/ a creative society cannot flourish in a monoculture, and people on all sides of the issue must work together to preserve San Francisco and the Mission’s creative soul and diversity of population before it is entirely lost.
