Event Details

Wicked Grounds stands alongside activists calling for a national strike on Inauguration Day Friday, January 20th. However, they want to ensure that those in the community who need it most will continue to have a safe space every day of the year. Being them, they’re doing both.

On Friday, January 20th, Wicked Grounds will be a commercial-free zone. This means:

  • Their management will keep the doors open from 9am – 9pm
  • All staff will have the day off.
  • They will not accept money of any kind.
  • We will have “Support Coffees” and teas available for free throughout the day for as long as supplies last.
  • No other menu items will be available, nor will they be accepting any sales for the boutique that day. Plan accordingly.

They encourage a day of rabble rousing, activism, planning, artwork, magic-making, and otherwise building community. They will have art supplies on hand. They’ll be open at 9am for those with strong enough stomachs to watch the inauguration, and open till 9pm so that folks can come in as needed throughout the day.
