Event Details

It is time for The San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus’ 5th Annual Dragathon.

And what is Dragathon? Dragathon is a five-week crowdfunding campaign, where some fierce individuals dare to ask their friends, family, and associates to support the SF Gay Men’s Chorus Financial Assistance Network (FAN) Club and vie for the chance to compete for the title of Ms. Dragathon 2016. Monies go towards members in need – helping them create music and inspire the community!

Dragathon culminates in a ball-type event where the highest fundraiser and top queen of the night snatch a trophy, with an incredible show and drag appearances by some legendary queens.

This year’s theme is based on the movie, “Paris is Burning” entitled “Dragathon is Burning.” The fundraisers will show the crowd that they own the runway by stomping it out, voguing to the beat, duck walking down the floor and leaving you gagging with the tightest death drops.

The top fundraisers will mop the trophies from the judges’ tables and only the sickest queen will snatch the top prize of Ms. Dragathon.
