13th Annual World Vegetarian Day Festival | GG Park

Sample some seitan or soyrizo at the San Francisco Vegetarian Society’s 2012 World Veg Festival, a two-day celebration of all things vegan, vegetarian and everything in between on Saturday, October 6 and Sunday, October 7 in Golden Gate Park.

Come see a series of guest speakers including doctors, chefs and activists, cooking demos, samples, educational talks, health exhibits and entertainment, as well as a catered dinner for those who stick around on Saturday until 6:45 p.m.

Admission is free if you come in the first half-hour and is otherwise $10.

For 2012 the festival also hosts the 40th International Vegetarian Congress (IVU), with speakers and visitors coming here to SF from all over the world
