The first Thursday of every month, The Red Vic hosts a free art and music show, featuring local artists and musicians starting at 6:30 pm.

The Red Vic in the Haight, is a 20 room, mixed-use co-living hotel, hostel and collaboration space exploring participatory decision making, nomadic lifestyles and new approaches to small bus.

From Syria With Love

Come and join for an art exhibition of drawings created by Syrian children living in the refugee camp in Lebanon.

Having succeed in the UK by being featured on BBC, ITV, The Independent and many more media agencies raising more than £16K and being viewed by over than 5K people across the UK the exhibition From Syria With Love finally is coming for the first time to the US in San Francisco.

The exhibition has been organised by Baraa Ehsaan Kouja, a UK based Syrian student at the University of Exeter, and Tobi Tusing who attended the exhibition in London and was moved by it and decided to bring it to the US together with other volunteers.

There will be dozens of prints of drawings and paintings made by Syrian refugee children aged 6-16 currently living in Al-Abrar refugee camp in Lebanon. Some of the works reflect the trauma that the young people have experienced, while others are more hopeful and optimistic.

Alongside each picture, as well as the title and the name of the artist, there will be a photo of the tent they are currently living in, and a brief statement of that child’s dream. The gallery will remain as part of Red Vic’s art installments through October.
