Event Details

In an era when just about everyone is counting pennies as well as calories, the award-winning documentary “Food Stamped” provides cost-conscious eaters with plenty of food for thought.

The film follows Bay Area filmmakers Shira and Yoav Potash as they attempt to eat a healthy diet on roughly one dollar per meal. “Food Stamped” has screened at film festivals across the US, and won the Jury Prize at the San Francisco Independent Film Festival.

Join Food Shift for a film screening of “Food Stamped” and meet the filmmakers in person. Food Shift is an Earth Island Institute sponsored project that is dedicated to building a more just and sustainable food system that curbs waste, empowers communities, respects the environment, and nourishes all people.

The evening will begin with potluck refreshments and social hour at 6:30 pm, followed by the film at 7:30 pm, followed by a discussion after the film with the filmmakers.

$5 donation is requested to help cover the costs for the venue. Please contact foodshift@gmail.com with any questions.
