Pleasant Hill Park | Cleaveland & Gregory Lane, Pleasant Hill, CA
Pleasant Hill hosts a full day of Fourth of July Fun with events ranging from a traditional patriotic parade through the Downtown Crescent Drive area, Family fun and games in Pleasant Hill Park, and live music and fireworks in the evening at College Park High School. This year’s celebration will be especially festive as 2011 is Pleasant Hill’s 50th birthday.
Firecracker 5K Fun Run –
8:00 am (young tykes and the rest of us).
Parade – A Star Spangled Celebration
9:30 am start; Downtown Crescent Drive area starting at Woodsworth and Contra Costa Blvd. and heading down Crescent Drive. [Map]
Fun & Games in Pleasant Hill Park –
10:30 am -2:30 pm – FREE entertainment for the whole family including live entertainment, clowns, a petting zoo, educational displays, races, contests, community booths, and more. Food/beverages by the Back Forty BBQ may be purchased.
Fireworks
College Park High School; view great fireworks starting around 9 pm. Refreshments available for purchase. Arrive by 7 for the best spot on the lawn.
