The Melt is a new fast casual eatery that claims to combine innovative technology with simple, fresh quality meals (all that means is you can order your food with your smart phone in advance and they use QR codes).

But is that why funcheap is writing about this? Nope – so let’s get to the deal – Free Grilled Cheese Sandwiches on Friday!!!

Come by the brand new location in SoMa at 115 New Montgomery from noon to 4pm on Friday August 26th, mention the secret code word “GOUDA” and get a free Melt and soup combo for lunch. That’s right, totally free – just for saying “gouda” outloud. Mmmm….

About Melt’s Grilled Cheese
“The sandwiches are prepared on European Designed Grills that balance two specialized tasks – toasting the crust and melting the cheese. The chefs pinch the bread to form air pockets for the cheese to melt into and the Melts are finished with grated Parmesan cheese and exclusive seasoning blends to draw out the allnatural distinctiveness of the cheese and bread. Soups are aerated prior to service for combinations of flavors and textures that until now have been reserved for traditional fine dining experiences.”
