Celebrate the longest day of the year with a traditional Solstice ritual led by Reclaiming Bay Area on Tuesday, June 20, 2017.

Last year, they planned a simple, participatory ritual involving singing. They brought food to share, as well as traditional Solstice supplies and trash bags. We expect it to be the same this year. Dress warm. Bring a towel if you want to plunge in the ocean. The beach rituals include optional nudity (so be warned). This ritual will involve song and likely a bonfire. A flashlight and dry socks can be handy for afterwards.

Join us for Summer Solstice at Ocean Beach as we gather to enter the shortest night of the year. We honor the turning of the Wheel of the Year to waning brightness. Arrive by 7:30 so ritual can run safely by nightfall.

RPC folk have outlined a simple, participatory ritual involving much singing. If you are interested in anchoring a role or gracing, be in touch, and do arrive by 7 for the pre-ritual circle.
