Event Details

Rube Goldberg was a cartoonist who excelled at creating needlessly over-complicated machines to perform very simple tasks.

UC Berkeley is hosting the third annual Rube Goldberg Machine Contest on April 20, 2013, to see who can build a live working version of a comically involved, complicated invention, laboriously contrived to perform one simple task.

The 2013 Rube Goldberg Machine Contest challenge is to hammer a nail.
