Municipal Stadium | 588 East Alma Avenue San Jose, CA 95112
For the fourth year in the row the minor league San Jose Giants baseball club comes to the rescue even thought the city of San Jose is not hosting an official 4th of July Fireworks show.
The Giants hosts the Modesto Nuts at 6:30pm (with tickets as low as $10) but more importantly from anywhere near the stadium you can watch the post-game fireworks show for free. Fireworks at approx. 9:30pm
San Jose Giants July 4th Fireworks Show | 2012
Minor League Baseball Game & Post-Game Fireworks
-Wednesday, July 4, 2012 – 6:30p (fireworks)
- Thursday, July 5, 2012 – 6:30p (fireworks)
- Tickets: $10-$18
Free Fireworks Viewing Location: Kelley Park
Although for 2012 there are no “official” areas outside the stadium for watching the fireworks one nearby park was scheduled to stay open late. For 2012 the San Jose Parks & Rec Department said that they will be letting people stay to watch fireworks at Kelley Park (Story Rd. at Senter Rd.), which normally closes 1/2 hour after sunset.
The Parking Situation: The Parks & Rec Department are still figuring out what’s going to be closed off to the public for 2012, but in years’ past, there were only four parking lots open in the area at $10/car. There was also:
- No parking allowed on Center Road.
- Street parking available on Alma, but the street might be blocked off due to heavy traffic.
