Come celebrate the New Year on this moderately paced hike to see the wide-open green hills and vistas of Briones Regional Park.
The weather and trail conditions will determine the route to take, but come be prepared for a seven to nine miles hike with about 1500 feet in elevation gain. Expect mud if there have been recent rains.
Level: Moderate(2B)
Signup Instructions: This will be a leisurely/moderate paced hike and if you are looking for a fast pace hike, this is not for you.
Bring: Lunch, water, snacks to share and layered clothing.
Additional Directions: Directions: from Hwy 24 take Orinda exit and onto Camino Pablo going north heading toward Richmond. Go several miles out of town to Bear Creek Rd. Turn right at signal and go about 5 miles (shortly after Happy Valley Rd.) to the park entrance on the right. Pay parking fee and park in the lot to the left of the kiosk. (One may also park on Bear Creek Rd. and walk into the park).
