“Sights and Sounds of Bayview,” is an evening of live radio stories featuring remarkable people who live and work in the neighborhood presented by the San Francisco Arts Commission (SFAC) and public radio station KALW from 5:30-9 pm on Thursday, September 19, 2013.
Free, but an RSVP is requested.
Come early for the pre-show concert by Pat Wilder and the Serious Business, plus food for purchase from Black Cuisine and other neighborhood vendors, and mingle with the featured artists before the formal program.
Live multi-media storytelling starts at 7 pm hosted by Hana Baba, co-host of KALW’s daily radio newsmagazine, Crosscurrents. See creative audio portraits performed live on stage, accompanied by original photography and music from Bayview residents, before they are broadcast on the radio.
Secure parking will be available at the Bayview Opera House and at Super Save Market at McKinnon and 3rd streets with a free trolley to the Bayview Opera House.
