Opera on Tap: Non-stuffy Opera Sung Live in a Bar | SF

Opera on Tap is a non-profit organization whose mission is to break down the stereo-type that opera is a stuffy or an elitist art form, by bringing it to bars.

Local singers let their hair down and bring you into what feels like an after hours back stage party, singing some of opera’s best known and little known pieces in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

2nd Anniversary | Opera on Tap: Non-stuffy Opera Sung Live in a Bar | SF

To celebrate two years of Opera on Tap, the singers are presenting an evening entirely of duets (get it? two?).

Duets are from The Magic Flute, The Marriage of Figaro, Norma, Samson et Delilah, Les pecheurs des perles, Madama Butterfly, The Grapes of Wrath, and other operas.
