2016 Tribute Karaoke: Prince, Bowie & George Michael | Berkeley

Let’s kick off 2017 with the most healing art of all: Karaoke. 2016 took away some of the very very very best artists, so we’re gonna sing their songs all night in a therapeutic cacophony of vocal magic.

Come honor Bowie, Prince, George Michael (yes, you can sing Wham!), Leonard Cohen, Sharon Jones, Phife Dawg, Merle Haggard, Juan Gabriel, Vanity, Natalie Cole, Glenn Frey (Eagles), Maurice White (Earth Wind + Fire), Paul Kantner (Jefferson Airplane. Ok, and Starship), Greg Lake AND Keith Emerson (EL&P), Bernie Worrell (P Funk), Prince Buster, and Leon Russell.

Will they have songs by some of these people/bands? Probably not. But we’ll find what we can and siiiiiiing. Bonus points if you figure out a song that’s connected to Carrie Fisher, Florence Henderson, Muhammed Ali, and/or Fidel. Tables are reserved; we’ll start at 7 so we can get as many songs in as possible.
