2024 Pacific Orchid Exposition “Timeless Orchids” in Golden Gate Park (Feb. 16-18)

San Francisco Orchid Society presents Timeless Orchids Show & Sale -10am to 5pm Fri – Sun, Feb 16-18, 2024 (Preview night Feb 15) at SF County Fair Building –

There will be thousands of orchid flowers and plants on display, with judging from the American Orchid Society, as well as plants for sale from members of the San Francisco Orchid Society as well as 20+ local, national & international nurseries.

Hands-on demonstrations will be conducted by experts with information about successfully growing and blooming orchids at home in San Francisco, as well as ongoing efforts to promote habitat conservation around the world. Families are welcome, and there will be special activities for kids and people of all ages and interests.

Note that additional discount is available for students and seniors (65 years and over); children 13 years old and under get in free with a paid adult chaperone.

A Preview Night event on Thursday February 15th (6:00-9:00pm) – adult attendees (21 and older only since alcohol will be served) will be the first to see the orchid displays, and have first pick from show vendors (orchid growers from all over the world offering the very best selection and some of the most exotic orchids available today), all with with reduced crowds (a few hundred rather than a few thousand people). This year’s theme is “Timeless Orchids, A Journey Through History,” meant to showcase the historical significance of orchids in various cultures and time periods, with displays of orchids alongside artifacts, photographs, and information that highlight their role in art, medicine, and cultural practices throughout history.

Displayed orchids will compete for cash prizes, and will be judged by the American Orchid Society for ribbons and trophies.
