2025 Summer Day Festival at ICA (SF)

Make it a downtown day! Join us August 3rd, 2025 for a Summer Day at ICA SF full of art, fashion, and family-friendly fun.

Participate in our Community Clothing Swap, hosted in partnership with SWAP CIRCLE, for a creative clothing exchange, and visit our Midnight March Mending Bar by Reuse Alliance to learn Masako Miki-inspired mending techniques. Dive deeper into our current exhibitions with a Curatorial Tour, and get creative with family-friendly crafts like button-making, fashion collages, and make-your-own “felt friends” inspired by Masako Miki’s wonderful world of characters.

12–4:00pm

• Community Clothing Swap, in partnership with SWAP CIRCLE (guidelines, details & RSVP here)
• Midnight March Mending Bar, in partnership with Reuse Alliance, showcasing Masako Miki-inspired mending techniques

1–2:00pm

• Curatorial Tour led by ICA SF Curatorial Assistant, Samantha Hiura (RSVP here)

All day

• Fashion collages, inspired by David Antonio Cruz
• Make-your-own “felt friends,” inspired by Masako Miki’s felt sculptures
• Button-making and coloring pages
