2-Hour Beat Making DJ Challenge | SF

The DJ TechTools Beat Battle challenges local DJs to create a finished song in less than two hours. This is not meant to be easy. This will test their limits and see what they are able to create if they focus on finishing a song (and not the little details).

They recommend a laptop and headphones, computer charger, and anything else you may need. You are also welcome to use their gear to help however possible.

The Rules

1. Compose a 2 minute song in less than two hours using at least one of the provided samples (samples provided the night before the competition).
2. Submit that song at 9 pm.
3. You can use templates, loops, collaborates, strangers and their talents, acapellas, controllers, etc – but you must create a new musical idea for this event.

Clock starts at 7 pm, so don’t be late. Samples will be provided the night before event. Submissions will be collected at the end and a winner will be declared.
