Come out to Yerba Buena Gardens for a festive evening filled with holiday cheer. Watch as the magnificent holiday tree, a living coastal redwood on our Great Lawn, lights up the night sky, bringing joy and warmth to all who attend. This in-person event is perfect for families, friends, and anyone looking to get into the holiday spirit. Don’t miss out on this magical experience!
LeRoy King Carousel Lighting
Enjoy a lighting ceremony and free carousel rides, with activities in partnership with the Children’s Creativity Museum. The lighting will be around 4:30pm.
Redwood Lighting Ceremony
Sip hot cocoa and relax under the Redwoods during storytime, followed by a short speaking program. The lighting will be around 6pm.
Free Roller Skating by Church of 8 Wheels
Come one, come all to some free public roller skating on the Upper Terrace overlooking the Great Lawn. Check in, sign the waiver, grab some free rental skates, and have fun in this rare opportunity to skate on the stonework of the Upper Terrace. Please note that we cannot accommodate this event safely if it rains, so cross your fingers for great weather!
