Event Details

Songs of the Longings of the Heart and the Madness of Existence
Hosted by E.G. Phillips, who comes from a country called “the Midwest” and creates lyric driven songs with his own special blend of whimsy and cinematic imagery.
Miles Gordon has traversed through many pockets of music in pursuit of his muse. He is currently best known as the co-creator of San Francisco queer country collective Country Risqué alongside local legend Daniel Bromfield. Their debut album Doe-Eyed Loverboys & Saints is out now via local underground label Rocks in Your Head Records.
Also a front man for psychedelic rock projects, Miles is a product of his upbringing in the latter-day Grateful Dead/jamband scene and subsequent discovery of the emotional power of Gram Parsons (journeying ever backward from there). Gordon is equally influenced by the likes of Paul Kantner, Kurt Vile, Rodney Crowell, the Everly Brothers, and George Clinton. Above all, Miles Gordon strives to make music that captures the inherent absurdity, confusion, and joy of life as he sees it, resetting the mind, soul, and whatever else along the way.
Molly Jean (aka Molly Giguiere) is a local singer-songwriter known for her unique blend of indie influences and a voice like Phoebe Bridgers and Maggie Rogers that resonates with raw emotion and power. Drawing from a diverse range of styles and inspirations from her Bay Area and South Carolina roots, she infuses her music with personal storytelling, captivating listeners with both vulnerability and strength. Her dynamic performances showcase a rare combination of passion and authenticity and she will charm you with her honest and unpretentious banter between songs.
