One of the most captivating collaborations between director Alfred Hitchcock and movie star Cary Grant succeeds effortlessly on charm, sophistication, and star chemistry.
Dashing and debonair John Robie (Cary Grant) is a reformed jewel thief with a colorful past who has retired to a French vineyard. But now a jewel thief is imitating his methods in a series of thefts along the French Riviera. Brash American heiress Frances Stevens (Grace Kelly) seems to be a likely target for the copycat thief’s next strike, and she’s all too eager to play along.
