836M Presents Artists Apexer and Monica Canilao in Conversation

As part of his “Piecing” exhibition at 836M Gallery, Apexer follows his previous two talks with Chad Hasegawa and Paz de la Calzada when he sits down with Monica Canilao to discuss art, technique and their in-studio collaboration that began on December 13 and runs through December 23rd.

Piecing is an exhibition/open studio for Apexer that has featured the artist creating in the space and offering regular opportunities for interacting with the public. It explores how the audience and community participate in his artmaking and through this “open studio” format Apexer takes his public art practice (and collaborations) and brings them indoors.

Note: Though 836M is a non-profit gallery, the work will be available for purchase with the all the proceeds going to the artists themselves.
